Breaking news : You get in life what you are’ – Masai Russell reflects on her track & life achievements in 2024

Paris Olympics 100m hurdles champion Masai Russell opines that success in life is determined by how badly one wants it irrespective of the challenges that come along the way.

The American sprinter, who is the NCAA record holder in 100m, recently bought a house in her homeland, a landmark that also ranks top among her achievements this year.

As a sign of appreciation for the good deeds that have happened to the 2024-year-old who finished third at the inaugural women’-only Athlos event in September, the track sensation took to her X platform, “You don’t get in life what you want, you get in life what you are.”

This is a quote by Les Brown. It suggests that what you get out of life is a reflection of who you are, and that you should consider what you are giving out. Perhaps it is an indication that Russell is not slowing down yet and there’s more to come from the sprinter whose performance in Paris was eye-catching

Russell showed her own fighting qualities in the scrap for the Olympic 100m hurdles title after she slugged her way into contention off the final barrier in the Stade de France in August, delivering the knockout blow to the big home hope with her lunge for the line.
