Breaking news : Bill Belichick proves he can keep trolling Jets, even from UNC

 

 

When Bill Belichick took the head coaching job at the University of North Carolina earlier this week, it might have led some Jets fans to sigh in relief and wipe their collective brow, believing that Belichick finally couldn’t hurt them anymore.

Until Saturday, when Belichick proved, once again, that his work tormenting the New York Jets will never be done.

 

According to multiple reports, Belichick personally inquired about the Jets open head coaching job before taking the job at UNC. Perhaps it was due diligence. Belichick wanting to overturn every stone before he gave up on the chance to set the NFL’s record for coaching wins.

 

This is the same guy who 24 years ago resigned the head coaching job, with an infamous note on a napkin, and sued to go to the Patriots where he destroyed the Jets for the next 20-plus years.

This is the same guy who didn’t want to be the coach of the Jets because of incoming owner Woody Johnson. And the same guy who openly trolled Johnson during multiple media appearances in recent months, for firing coach Robert Saleh after five games this year

 

That’s kind of what it’s been there at the Jets,” Belichick said on ESPN’s Manningcast less than a week after barely won over 30 percent in the last 10 years. The owner being the owner, just ready, fire, aim.”

So we’re supposed to believe that Belichick, had any real interest in taking the Jets job after saying that, or that he expected the Jets to have any real interest in him?
