However, the harshest comment might have come from someone closer to home—his wife. During the post-game press conference, Davis shared a light-hearted yet revealing anecdote about how his wife called out his performance and credited Rui Hachimura for bailing him out.

“I don’t want to say I’m frustrated, cuz I like both of them, both in and out, don’t feel like I could have shot any differently. In the past I like completely missed to either left, short or right or long, but both of these in now.”
