Breaking news : Watch Frustrated’ Deebo Samuel involved in altercation with kicker, long snapper during San Francisco 49ers’ win

 

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel said he was frustrated when he grabbed the throat of long snapper Taybor Pepper and took an inadvertent swipe at kicker Jake Moody on Sunday.

The sideline altercation occurred after Moody had missed his third field goal attempt of the game. Samuel went after Pepper and then took a swing at Moody with about three minutes remaining in the fourth quarter during the 49ers’ 23-20 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. A heated Pepper yelled at Samuel and started to follow him before being restrained by Moody.

 

Moody missed attempts of 49, 50 and 44 yards in the game. However, the second-year kicker redeemed himself by nailing a 44-yard field goal as time expired to give the 49ers the win.

Samuel said after the game that the players will put the incident behind them and move on.
